This Week with Wicked Grounds (1/24 - 2/2)

Hello kinksters - How are you doing this week? It feels like it’s been a month since I last wrote you! I thank the folks in our month of mindfulness every day for providing me with a needed anchor throughout the week. One bright spot for me this week has been preparing for our upcoming sex magick intensive Pentacles of Power, which launches a six-week journey at the start of February. This workshop is the culmination of over twenty years of my work and finally brings together threads of my personal, spiritual, and kinky work in a way I’ve never taught before. I’m excited, thrilled, and engaged in a way that’s been comforting and necessary in these times. If you’re curious about deepening the intersection of kink and power through a spiritual and magickal lens, I invite you to join. Whatever feels close to you right now, please take time for it: family, play, hobbies, travel, self-care. Play and rest is not trivial. Play matters deeply because it keeps us creative and resilient. Done well, play helps us become ever more deeply ourselves. This is more important now than ever. Another thing that matters: getting out and connecting with people. This coming weekend is the first of the month, and that means Wicked Grounds will have a range of live, in-person classes in San Francisco. TASHRA is the world’s foremost healthcare research organization working to improve the physical and mental health of adults who engage in consensual and alternative sexual practices including kink, BDSM (bondage/discipline, domination/submission, sadism/masochism), and sexual fetishism. For over ten years, they have helped mental health and other practitioners gain access to grounded research about the issues affecting the kink community. Now, they are bringing some of that deep knowledge to kinksters everywhere in a set of workshops for the community. A few people have asked if they can participate without being able to make every session live: absolutely! Every live session will be recorded for later viewing, and about two-thirds of the work is done throughout the week at your own pace. Others have asked when we'll be doing this again.
